Designed for students with at least 3 years of prior IT experience, the Cloud Computing & Cybersecurity program at NCE prepares students for advancement from entry- and mid-level on-premise computer user and desktop support jobs to more advanced cloud-based computer network support, security, and administration roles. Students build upon their existing skill set, engaging and practicing skills in operating systems, applications, on-premise networks, cybersecurity, and cloud computing administration. Under the instruction of a team of industry professionals, students complete a total of 33 semester units through a combination of six specialized technical modules including Routing & Switching, Data Management and Security, Network Security, Architecting on the Cloud, Systems Operations on the Cloud, and Security on the Cloud.
At NCE, students learn how to:
- Manage on-premise and cloud information technology, including network server installation, network design, configuration, support, and security applications
- Practice and evaluate local, wide, and cloud network design, implementation, administration, cybersecurity, and support
- Perform analysis, troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, and security of existing on-premise local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and on-cloud virtual private networks
- Advance from user, desktop, and small-network IT jobs to the more advanced on-premise and cloud network administration roles
- Practice the communication and interpersonal skills required to work effectively within work teams and with clients
NCE’s Cloud Computing & Cybersecurity program is an online-hybrid program: students complete the six technical modules completely online, while attending three on-campus labs per module, held on Saturdays.
Graduates of NCE’s program will receive their Cloud Computing & Cybersecurity Administrator diploma, and will be prepared for advanced cloud-based computer network support, security, and administration roles. Graduates will also be prepared to obtain a portfolio of relevant professional certifications upon graduation, including the Cisco CCNA, Amazon AWS Cloud Architect, Palo Alto Networks PCCET, and Microsoft Azure certifications.
